Bearpoint

Terms of Use & Legal Disclaimer

We provide comprehensive research so a lawyer can litigate. We do not provide legal services. Effective June 13, 2026.

Bearpoint Foundation is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice or legal services. Nothing on this site creates an attorney-client relationship. The content here is general information and forensic research methodology, not advice about any specific situation. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before acting on anything you read here. Effective June 13, 2026.

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using bearpointfdn.org, you accept these Terms of Use in full. They govern your use of the site and everything published on it, including resource guides, research, and downloadable material. If you disagree with any part of these terms, do not use the site. Your continued use is your agreement.

We Are Not a Law Firm

Bearpoint Foundation is a Washington State civil-rights nonprofit. We provide civil-rights research, evidence architecture, and pressure-vector mapping. We do not practice law. We do not represent anyone. We do not file documents on anyone's behalf. We do not select legal strategy for a specific case, advise on the merits of any particular dispute, or appear before any court or agency for you.

What we do is build forensic records. We make a lawyer's work cheaper and faster by handing them an organized evidentiary foundation instead of a shoebox of paper. The work product on this site is methodology and general civil-rights education, not a substitute for a licensed attorney who knows the facts of your case and the law of your jurisdiction.

To state it plainly, and as we state it everywhere: We provide comprehensive research so a lawyer can litigate. We do not provide legal services. Treating anything on this site as legal advice, or treating the Foundation as your lawyer, is a misunderstanding of what we are and what we do.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Contacting us, reading our guides, downloading our material, or receiving research from us does not form an attorney-client relationship or any other fiduciary relationship. We are not your attorneys, your agents, or your advisors.

No confidentiality and no privilege attaches to information you send through the contact form, by email, or by any other channel on this site. Do not send privileged, confidential, or sensitive material expecting it to be protected. If you have privileged information, share it with a licensed attorney under the protection of an actual attorney-client relationship, not with us.

No Legal Advice; Verify Everything

The guides, articles, and research on this site are general educational content. They describe patterns, statutes, and procedures in broad terms. They are not tailored to your situation and cannot account for the specific facts that determine how the law applies to you.

Statutes, regulations, filing deadlines, agency intake addresses, and procedures change without notice. Every citation, form, deadline, and address referenced on this site must be independently verified against current law before you rely on it in any filing. Filing deadlines are strict and are your sole responsibility. For example, the Office for Civil Rights enforces a 180-day window from the most recent qualifying act, and missing it can end a complaint before it starts. We are not responsible for deadlines you miss or citations that have changed since publication.

Use at Your Own Risk

You are solely responsible for how you use the information on this site. Outcomes vary widely based on facts, jurisdiction, timing, and forces outside anyone's control. Past patterns described in our research do not guarantee any result in your matter. Nothing here is a promise, prediction, or guarantee of any particular outcome.
